Cottonwood Guest Ranch

Summer Cattle Rides

When our cattle are in the high country, the rides will take you back to the real "Old West".  The ranch has been dedicated to Holistic Management of livestock now for twenty years.  Livestock each year are continuously being rotated through our allotments to ensure the prosperity and diversity of our ecosystem as well as our livestock. This 2016 grazing season the cattle are on the Jarbidge Mountain range from mid-June to Mid-August.  Join us when we drive the cattle from the lower elevation range to the mountains in mid-June or as we return them to the lower allotments in Mid-August.  The vast landscape, rough terrain, and no back boundary fencing makes riding for livestock in the Jarbidge Mountains an unforgettable experience.  Whether you're gathering, checking perimeter, or monitoring health of cows, you're bound to see breathtaking views, stumble upon wildlife, and find solitude in the expansive back-country. Rides can be adjusted to skill level of guests.
